Source4Teachers Adds More Fight to the Fight Against Breast Cancer

Organization teaming up for local events in support of one of their own, as well as all women fighting the disease.

Cherry Hill, NJ – Source4Teachers, a leading provider of educational staffing solutions for pre-K through 12 school districts, is celebrating National Breast Cancer Awareness Month by teaming up to participate in several breast cancer awareness and fundraising events this October. The inspiration driving the company’s participation comes from the journey of Source4Teachers Vice President of Operations, Jenny Dwyer, who is currently battling breast cancer. Moreover, the Source4Teachers has chosen to participate in events that will not just impact the global fight against breast cancer, but also support the communities they serve.

“From day one, giving back and getting involved in causes that matter most to the communities around us has been an important responsibility in the Source4Teachers culture,” said Andrew Hall, Chief Operating Officer, Source4Teachers. “So, when we learned Jenny was diagnosed with breast cancer, we jumped right in to find events that could help the cause and her journey. Certainly, our participation in these events is in honor of Jenny’s courage and fight… it shows our support every step of the way. But it is also about Source4Teachers understanding that, with the odds of one in every eight women diagnosed, supporting this cause goes hand-in-hand with our mission to empower the future… both inside and outside of the classroom.”

Dwyer was diagnosed this summer with Stage III Inflammatory Breast Cancer. Dwyer is currently undergoing chemotherapy while continuing to nurture an active family, including a nine-year old son, her youngest, and three other children. Supported by her loving husband, four children and Source4Teachers family, according to her colleagues, she continually displays the hope, strength and positive attitude that assures her she will beat the disease.

Source4Teachers has registered an official team for three breast cancer events in their service area and are encouraging employees of their own company, as well as those in the districts they serve to join their “Team Jenny D” as walk/run participants and/or to donate to the team’s fundraising. Moreover, Source4Teachers President, Kevin Bush, is out to ramp-up results with an offer to personally match “Team Jenny D” fundraising up to $1,000.

“Together, we can make a big difference,” said Bush. “There’s not one person – man, woman, boy or girl – Source4Teachers works with on a daily basis that hasn’t been touched by this disease in some way. We know, the money raise can impact on many lives.”

Source4Teachers’ Team Jenny D is also making sure to embrace everyone in their communities touched by breast cancer by offering to the list the names of all employee friends and family diagnosed with the disease on their team t-shirt.  Team Jenny D will walk in honor of everyone.

This Fall, Source4Teachers’ and Team Jenny D will be participating in the following events:

  • 13th Annual “West Moreland Walks” Breast Cancer Walk: October 4, Twin Lakes Park Pavilion #7, Greensburg, PA.
  • Making Strides Against Breast Cancer – Peninsula, VA: October 11, 100 Museum Drive, Newport News, VA.
  • Making Strides Against Breast Cancer – Pennsauken, NJ: October 26, 5300 North Park Drive, Pennsauken Twp., NJ.
